Free Airbnb Listing Audit: Score Your Listing in Seconds
Paste your Airbnb listing and get a score out of 100, a breakdown by category, a ranked list of specific fixes and new title ideas. It runs in your browser with fixed rules, so it's instant and free, with no sign-up and no card.
What the free audit checks
The score is out of 100, split across six categories. The weights are fixed and the same for every listing:
- Title (20 points). Length against Airbnb's recommendation of fewer than 50 characters, whether it leads with a feature guests filter for, capitalization, and symbols or emoji Airbnb advises against.
- Photos and order (25 points). How many photos you have, whether your cover and first five show your strongest features, and whether rooms appear to be covered. Airbnb says the first five photos are the most important.
- Description (20 points). Whether the opening lines (what shows before "Show more") carry the reason to book, structure and scannability, and problems like contact details or a rules-first opening.
- Amenities (15 points). Coverage of the amenities Airbnb says guests search for most, essentials and safety items, and features your description mentions that your amenity list doesn't.
- Search fit (10 points). Whether your listing clearly states its property type, capacity, who it's ideal for and its standout feature, so it matches the searches it should.
- Reviews and trust (10 points). Your rating and review count, when you enter them or use a listing link.
Each lost point is explained against your listing, so you know exactly what to change.
What you get
- Your score and grade, with a score for each category.
- A ranked fix list: the changes likely to matter most, first.
- Three title ideas under 50 characters, built only from facts your listing states.
- A new opening paragraph drafted from your own description and amenities.
- A photo-order review of your first photos.
Want it emailed? You can ask for the full report by email. Otherwise nothing you paste leaves your browser.
How it's built
The rules are based on Airbnb's own published host guidance: its title guidelines, photo and photo-tour help pages, description advice and the list of most-searched amenities. Where a rule is our own judgment rather than Airbnb's, we say so. We don't claim to know Airbnb's ranking formula: Airbnb publishes the main factors (quality, popularity, price and location) but not the weights. The audit scores the parts of your listing you control. Read how Airbnb search ranking works for the full picture.
Typical fixes it flags
These are the kinds of issues the audit is built to catch, each tied to a specific rule:
- A title that hides the best feature, or runs past 50 characters and gets cut off in search.
- A cover photo that isn't the strongest shot, such as a bathroom or a close-up, when the hot tub or the view is buried further down.
- An opening paragraph that starts with rules or a generic welcome instead of the reason to book.
- Amenities mentioned in the description but not ticked, so guests filtering for them never see the listing.
- Contact details in the text, which Airbnb's policies don't allow before a booking.
- No distances or times to the places guests are coming for.
What the free audit can't do
- It can't see your price against your competitors for specific dates, your calendar or your response rate. Those matter a lot for ranking, per Airbnb.
- It can't judge photo quality the way a person can: lighting, staging, whether the cover photo actually stops the scroll.
- It can't promise more bookings. Nobody honestly can.

How to use your results
- Fix the top three items on your list first. They're ranked by likely impact.
- Re-run the score after changes to check you've covered them.
- Give it a few weeks, then compare views and bookings in your Airbnb stats with the weeks before.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Airbnb listing audit really free?
Yes. It runs in your browser using fixed rules, so it's instant and nothing is sent to us unless you ask for the emailed report. No sign-up, no card.
What does the free audit score?
Six categories adding up to 100: title (20), photos and order (25), description (20), amenities (15), search fit (10), and reviews and trust (10). Each lost point is explained against your listing.
Does it work for Vrbo listings?
The rules are built around Airbnb's guidance, but most fixes (photo order, description structure, amenities) apply on Vrbo too. Note that Vrbo recommends headlines of 40 characters or less, shorter than Airbnb's 50.
Will a higher score get me more bookings?
It can't be guaranteed. Airbnb says quality, popularity, price and location heavily influence search placement. The score covers the content you control; price, availability and reviews matter too.
Do you need my Airbnb password?
No, never. The audit works from the listing details you paste. For done-for-you services, you add us as a co-host with Airbnb's own co-host feature and can remove us any time.
